The historic house and modern complex are independent yet complementary. This allows a future project to consider separate areas for a resident team, visiting teachers and participants. Three equipped kitchens offer several ways to organise everyday life.
The larger rooms suggest possibilities for teaching, company seminars, sports courses or movement practices, meetings, exhibitions or artist residencies. The current library layouts need not dictate how a future project uses those spaces.
Put accommodation at the centre of the plan
There are ten existing bedrooms: six in the historic house and four in the modern complex. Seven bathrooms, including five en suite, support this accommodation. These starting points should be considered alongside the number of participants and the needs of any permanent team.
Other existing rooms and portions of the larger halls could be assessed for additional bedrooms. A balanced plan also retains space for practice, meetings and circulation. No additional bedroom total is presented before that assessment.
A setting for stays of several days
The estate’s 46 hectares place it within a landscape of meadows, woodland and open views. Saint-Affrique, with its shops and everyday services, is approximately 8 km and 20 minutes away by car, according to the owners. For a group project, shopping, meals and transfers can be planned as part of the stay.
The modern complex has an active 1 Gbit/s connection, Ethernet sockets in every room and Wi-Fi.
